Just got back from the fitz freeroll there. Crazy night of poker...

Got total muck for the first hour until just before the break i doubled through when my A4s cracked aces (flush). Topped up after the break and was up to about 3,500. First hand after the break got lucky again when my queens tripped up to beat culchie's cowbotys (sorry :D !)

Then came the Big Dragon hand. For the second time in two weeks I ran into his aces and doubled him up! Next time Dave....

Got moved table and slowly saw my stack wither down to a single green chip. I was on about 7000 but lost half that on a kicker, and then got blinded down to 1000. I have never let myself get that low in a tourney before but at 3,000 and 2,000 everyone kept on raising and reraising and i was holding total muck. There was about 12 people left at this stage. Blinds were 500/1000

Then I got dealt AKs so obviously pushed all my 'chip' in. Got 2 callers and with a KQQ flop and 2/8 on turn/river, I managed to triple through. Next hand I get K10 in mid position with 1 limper and SB + BB still to act. I still thought I was on the way out so I pushed for 3,500. Got three callers and with a king high board managed to climb up to 15,000!! Made a few good calls then and built up my stack

Made it to the final table in about 5th in chips with about 36,000. 3rd hand in get dealt QQ in BB. UTG+3 goes all in for about 20,000. I call. He shows AKo.
Flop brings a K. River brings a Q and all of a sudden im chip leader!!! :D
Next hand two lads go all in and both turn over the queens!! One of them almost made a flush too

Ended up with a 270euro ticket for next weeks game.......... somehow

Ahhhh chip and a chair! Brilliant!! :p

Yeah I was there last night too. Played well enough. Went out when I had Cowboys and the (massive) chip leader called my measly all in with Ace rag after a nothing flop. I think Amp was dealing at my table when I went out.

That was my first freeroll, and tbh I don't think I'd go again, so many people didn't know what was going on, and the play at the first few levels was mental.

Great stuff Rory! They need to bar you from the freeroll, to give beginners a chance...:D

Yeh, now if only I could bring some of that luck to the big games.....

what time was it over at??

That is the only downside to freeroll that people go mental at the start and playing with anything to double up.

    Well done
