In all fairness i'm getting sick of this hypeing KK crap. Yes they're a very good team, they're one of the best 3 in the country but they're not some unstoppable force of nature. Leinster is an easy Championship compared to Munster.

The media are hyping them up to standards they never reached. DJ Carey IS a great player. Does he deserve to be metioned beside Christy Ring ? NO.
Shefflin is a brilliant forward, is he the best in the country ? Maybe but its very far from a one horse race. E Kelly of Tipp would be in my opinion the best. He simply doesn't have the other players around him like Shefflin does.

And J McGarry shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as B Cummins and D FitzHenry (Or Davy in his day). All this bull****e about him getting an All-Star, what did he ever do to deserve one ? I'd rate Donal Óg Cusack ahead of him and i don't rate Donal too high at all.

There is VERY little between Cork and Kilkenny this year and i predict a return to form for Tipp this year, after a slow start.

My advice to you is to do what your parents did - get a job.

Wexford will have one thing on their minds next Sunday

    - revenge -

for the 30 point hammering Kilkenny gave them in the league last April.

    could be close

I agree, Wexford will beat them on Sunday *snigger*

form my tipp perspective KK are an awesome team and have been going back as far as 1999. Only the element of luck has been the crucial factor in beating them the last year. On todays game it was proven that Cork have apparent weaknesses that tipp couldnt expose as such but KK will be able to. Personally i think the team who beats KK will win the AI but Cork will have tricks up their sleeve yet. Even tipp may upset the apple cart. Oh i dont think you could judge the Offaly game on KK's abilty and in fact it may harm the overall preparation of the team for the crunch ties

Question. Have you seen Christy Ring play a game of hurling?

Proven.........against Offaly ?..................Offaly were beaten by Carlow in the league and are at about Dublins level .

List of teams that are capable of beating Kilkenny : Cork , Tipp , Waterford , Clare , Limerick , Wexford , Galway .

List of teams that will beat Kilkenny : Cork

Ive never see a team as overated as this Kilkenny side , I mean sure they're good and are well able to win All Irelands and be in contention every year but they are far from this incredible team who are unbeatable that many people make them out to be .

how can you say they are overrated?.....they've demolished anyone put in front of them this year.....They have greater strength in dept than cork and cork arent as good this year as last.
They wont have the same hunger as kilkenny this year and judging on yesterdays second half they are some big weaknesses in the side...
they had their year last year...this will be a maximum bet for me!

Yes they have demolished all the sides they have played in the Championship this year..........oh wait thats just offaly , how do you know Cork arent as good this year they won the Munster final last year they did not .Cork are only going to improve as the year goes on just like last year .

It seems to me you regard Cork winning(the All Ireland) as a fluke and that they are a mediocre side .

Everyone thought Kilkenny were awesome last year coming into all-ireland final. Remember what they did to Galway.

Kilkenny had already had their so called "kick up the backside" by losing Leinster yet they still lost that an-ireland final. The reason? Cos Cork were so much better on the day.

Cork first half last sunday........awesome. Second half beatable by any of the big teams.

Personally I dont believe in unbeatable teams. There are some teams that play very well but they are all beatable on any given day. Kilkenny, Armagh proved this last year.

My point....................Kilkenny will need the same amount of luck every team needs to win an all-ireland.

Personally I think waterford, Tipp,Galway and Clare will have something left to say about the championship this year

Hawker- Are you trying to say that DJ Carey is better than Christy Ring... do you know, that is actually quite funny! You're gas!!!! :D:):D:)

If KK and Waterford meet, i predict the cats exit...

Waterford are due a big win this year and are def dark horses this year...

After the 2003 result you could see Cork were on a mission last year. They disposed of Antrim and Wexford without sympathy. They had one objective in mind, and they achieved it. Maybe Kilkenny are that way this year too, but there is a lot of hurling left yet before we see where the Liam McCarthy Cup will spend the winter.

With their full back line? The defence is Waterford's achilles heel and will result in their exit this year!

If Kilkenny have the hunger, Kilkenny win, simple as, and this year they are out for revenge! its almost pre-ordained! :D

Maybe if you go back and read it you might understand that I didn't say anything like you are implying. Cork people (you included) seem to take pleasure in saying that Ring was better than Carey yet these people never saw Ring play. So how can they compare?

Carey is the best player of my generation. Maybe Ring was better but you or I cannot say for sure as we never witnessed Ringie playing at his best.

You are a student you never saw him play. Now I'd call that funnier!!

We certainly were not hammered. Very close contest in the first half and for about 10 minutes of the 2nd half. From there on, Cork had something extra.

Well revenge is all Kilkenny will have on their minds too. Wexford knocked us out at the pervious round(i think) last year with a last minute goal(i think... :) ).

Kilkenny are too strong for Wexford. It will be a game for about 10 minutes. Leinster hurling is completely finished. I know its pretty cocky but the 1'st and 2'nd best teams in leinster are Kilkenny.

We will have to wait and see on Sunday! The yellow bellies are always at their most dangerous when written off! What more motivation do they need!
