Any views on them, thinking of allocating some of bankroll to having a crack at them.

On Ladbrokes, appears to be 2 options

    1) Treble Chance, $3 entry, 4 levels, finish in top 3 each level to progress, Level 4 = $500, $300, $200 payout

    2) Double Chance, $4 entry, 4 levels, finish in top 2 to progress, Level 4 = $1000, $600, $400 payout (I think that is payout structure anyway, open to correction)

I haven't done the maths on it, but I'd be surprised if one couldn't finish ITM enough times to be in comfortable profit.

I think that for many of these ladder tournaments, people ran their super-duper calculators to find out that players are getting raped with regard to the rake collected by the sites. This is the case on Party anyway.

I ran my 5$ up to a 4th place finish on gamingclub for $500 once. I rebought in then at level 3 with some winnings and tried gathering credits. Played level 5 again but went out without cashing.

You see the same guys all the time at the higher levels where they buy-in and work their credits up to a level 5 entry. The time I cashed I was the only person to have started at level 1. Two others started at level 2 while the others were just playing the higher levels.

I think you need to be extremely lucky to get through levels 1 and 2 and after that you come up against good players. You need to have the right strategy but not be overly cautious like most of the players from this point on imo.
