Deodorant stains

Right, I deem this to be the most appropriate place for this.

Got a new white shirt a while back, wore it for the first time the other day and it has deodorant stains on the underarms, not hugely noticable but is there any way to remove them?

Google seems to give me all sorts of places pimping their stuff so does anyone know any definite solutions?

EDIT: a vinegar sponging and a hot wash seem to be suggested, does this actually work?

Rub them with another top, or a towel or something. This works when you get deodorant stains on a top when you put it on, but I'm not sure if it works when you have them on your armpit.....Try it anyway.

vanish works great for all of that type of thing.. rub vanish on spot and wash as normal

Or us a different deodrant which doesn't leave stains....

this reminds me of a prank my friend and flatmate pulled on their female flatmate, they opened the lid of her roll-on deodrant and cracked an egg into it and closed it up.

She wore a white top, merrily used it and went off to work and a business meeting - without realising she had two huge yellow stains in her armpits. She came back that evening to guffaws from the lads making statements such as "I think thats an EGGsellent idea" "Do you think we should eat EGGS tonight" etc........ took her a half hour to cop what they did when their 4th and final flatmate shouted - "Whats that yellow stuff on your top!"
