2.30pm Double Aspect / Rajayoga (I'm going with Rajayoga) McCoy is on Double Aspect. Also watch out for Fleetwood Bay, he has no form but Jim Culloty is on her so anything could happen there.
So to clarify, for the 2.30 I'm doing Rajayoga to win, Fleetwood Bay e/w

3.00pm Kadam / On The Outside
I'm going with Kadam on this one, very nice form and Ruby is on her. On the Outside will also have a foot in, might be worth doing a forecast of Kadam to win, On The Outside second.

3.30pm City Affair win, Tinstre e/w
Very nice e/w price here on Tinstre.

4.00pm Global Challenge win, Alikat e/w
Don't rule out Beehawk with Ruby Walsh. Might be worth doing both global challenge and beehawk, with Alikat e/w.

That's it for today folks. The usual disclaimer applies. These horses are horses I have picked out, based on their form, age, weight, latest && best speed, and the jockey riding them. There are not tips I have recieved from anybody close to the race. You cannot hold me liable if you bet on these horses and loose money in doing so. Picking horses is a pastime of mine, and I am sharing these with you, with the hope of hearing your feedback / views.

    Best of luck!

Hi sjones, I'm interested to know why you use speed ratings for making selections of jumps meetings? Do you find any benefit in them, I spent quite a lot of time looking at speed figures in the past and came to the conclusion that they were only useful for flat racing.

    Any tips MasterK?

It's true that speed ratings are more applicable to flat racing, however I find that there is still some benefit to the speed ratings for jump meetings as well. If for instance the likes of McCoy is on a horse with a slow speed rating, you can be sure that the horse is going to jump well, and may get a leg in. I don't just take into account the speed to be honest, I have a look over the 4/5 different factors, mainly form, age, weight and the jockey, I look at the speed last. If i'm happy up to the point of before I look at the speed, and their speed is very good it's just the icing on the cake.

No tips today Revo, don't think I'll be backing anything.

Sjones you seem to use a lot of the same factors as me, I also include other things like Going (obviously), course form (can be very important in jump racing), distance record etc. I've got to the stage that I've automated the whole selection process, I award points for current form, jockey, track record, going record, distance record, draw etc. I find it a very quick way of eliminating a lot of horses.

Hmm, I never thought of taking course form into consideration. That's something I'm going to have to include in my decision making process. Thanks for the pointers buddy. Lets hope we can beat the bookies :)

Theres me all psyched up for the race, turn on ATR and first thing i hear is 'City Affair continuing to act up behind the start line'. Knew it was over at that stage :( Unlucky for Tinstre, thought he had it!
