Cancelling Chorus MMDS

I have recently acquired a FTV card for Sky and have decided to get rid of our (rubbish) analogue Chorus MMDS system. I was wondering if Chorus are obliged to remove the roof aerial when I cancel the subscription? (It's up very high and I'm worried one day the winds will bring it crashing down). Thanks...

IIRC they'll come around and take it down...

I remember someone asking this before ages ago. Basically someone had to start invoicing them for "rental of roof space" before they took it away :D

Surely the possibillity of liability would make THEM anxious to take it down too ?

The father of a friend of mine used to be a subscriber. When he cancelled, they took their time taking the equipment. After a couple of weeks of unsuccessful attempts to get them to take their stuff (broken promises, etc.), he took it all down himself and left it all, including decoder box, on the front lawn. He phoned them to inform them of this and reminded them that the weather forecast was saying rain was on the way. They took the equipment within the hour.

We used to have Chorus here for about a year. We cancelled after getting Sky Analogue in 1997. They removed the equipment fairly quickly afterwards.
