    Possibly starring Sarah Michelle Gellar:

Variety reports that Marcus (TEXAS CHAINSAW remake) Nispel will direct and Sarah Michelle Gellar will star in ALICE, the film adaptation of American McGee's Electronic Arts video game. Originally developed at Dimension, the project is now at Universal, with Firm Films and Collision Entertainment producing. Erich and Jon Hoeber are scripting from McGee's scenario, a dark takeoff on Lewis Carroll's classic in which Alice is the only survivor of a catastrophe that destroys her home and kills her family. Traveling back to Wonderland, she finds it's now a scary place full of fearsome beings. Nispel also directed last year's modern-day FRANKENSTEIN telemovie for the USA Network, while Gellar recently wrapped a still-untitled supernatural thriller for Rogue Pictures. —Michael Gingold

uhhh, the game had great atmosphere and was very cool...but wouldnt a director more along tim burtons style be more suiting...or get a director who has done alot of animation work...cause this will succeed on the world and how it looks and moves...and the director they have hmm, from what i remember of the texas chainsaw remake he has a real 50/50 chance...i mean he got the whole dead end of nowhere pretty well but can he get the fluid living world of evil?

Nothing will ever come close to Jan Svankmajer's version of Alice.

I learnt the hard way, a lnog time ago, to keep well away from Svankmajer. The human mind simply can't cope with craziness of that level!

Ok so i see the OP date but if this does happen I think out with Marcus Nispel will direct and Sarah Michelle Gellar. I'd say Tim Burton and Katharine Isabelle (Ginger Snaps).
