I am looking for a school gabardine coat but none of the major stores sell them now as they are no longer worn at secondary school. Anyone know any place still selling them? :D

This time of year, I doubt you're gonna find anything like that in the major stores. Try a vintage shop like Wild Child on Georges St, Harlequin on Castle Market, or possibly even Jenny Vanders round the corner from Harlequin (more expensive). Otherwise, you may have some luck in charity shops. Or eBay. Have you tried ringing round the dedicated school uniform shops? They do exist, try the Golden Pages.

There aren't too many school uniform shops around nowadays according to the Golden Pages. Part 1. I haven't access to the country golden pages.
Those shops you suggested I try, do they sell school wear?

There's a column and a half in my book. Under "School Uniforms and Accessories". All over Dublin.

No, they're vintage shops. But they have a lot of coats and such.
