DC++ speeds

I've recently installed DC++ and the download speeds are very slow (I'm on BT 1mb). Is there any way to increase them or am I better off with torrents?

Install StrongDC++. It features TTH and multisource downloading (proper multisource that DOESN'T result in corrupt files). That should up the speeds. Other than that, just download off faster people. DC++ (the "official" DC++) doesn't multisource like other P2P apps, so its a bit slow as compared to others.

strongdc is good but id say go with ldc++ is much better
strong always seemed to crash
