    Pretty good early review on a Chinese hardware site.

    Only thing worth noting are the results. That translator is mental. This is the type of hard drive they are testing on according to the translator.

    You agree with my statements outright correct.

    english review!!!!

    OPP has 3 cards... two in SLI (watercooled) with his FX55 @ 3600mhz.

    Scores are remarkable!!

    3dMark01 = 44,488

    3dMark03 = 34,011

    3dMark05 = 15,990

    Single 7800GTX with a 3700+ @ 3ghz = 3dMark05 = 9,671

    As soon as these get proper drivers we will see even better scores!

    I wonder if its worth upgrading to get 8-10 times the performance? :p

    *downloads 3dmark05 to see what his current configuration gets*

    3D Mark '05? What's that?

    (Voice of denial - I choose to tell myself that FutureMark collapsed some time back and there was no development after '03...)

    Still, can't help but wonder how long it will be till game developers can actually use that sort of power...

    They won't always demand better hardware instead of making use to what they have at the time,and produce more sloppy half arsed coding and programming,

    Just look at farcry what a game then you compare it to the likes of doom 3 what a mess.

    Doom 3? Hmmm.... isn't that an Nvidia tech demo? Never realized it was meant to be a game... :rolleyes:

    Though you're right - so far, when a game developer has gone nuts over a new graphics technology, we end up with a game with no gameplay. If they focus on the gameplay, then the graphics engine doesn't go as far. Though games like Far Cry come along every now and then, out of the blue...

    well, doom3 was a tech demo more than a game. You need people to "go nuts" on a graphics engine, so that for the next few months or the next year, people can just use the engine and concentrate on some proper gameplay. Its a win-win situation! Unless of course you buy the tech demo :p

    meh, my 6800 Ultra in my laptop hits 5,300.. meh

    It is hard to comprehend that the number of transistors needed to power an Xbox, a PS2, an FX-55 and two Game Cubes does not equal the number in G70.
    :eek:

    Pretty amazing for a laptop. Having said that, you can probably build a PC for less money that does 15000 and you'll get to keep da ballz :cool:

    When I bought it 2 months ago you would be hard pushed actually.. I paid 1,938.. It has a 17 inch widescreen with a native resolution of 1920x1200 and actually looks good at the same time..

    I would be quietly confident that you couldn't build a similar spec'd PC with a 6800 Ultra for 1,900 2 months ago..

    Dell have also stated that they will release thr 7800Go next year and it will be compatible with the XPS2 :)

    Regardless of that, a jump of 35% or so is not the leap I would have expected or hoped for.. I would wait for ATI's solution and see what they can produce..
