Buying a rat

I wanna get a Rat. The problem is should I get a Vintage, Rat 2 or a Turbo? I've listened to the samples on the website and they all sound good but it's not really enough to go on. I'd probably be happy with any of them but out of curiosity I'm wondering if they really sound that much different to each other and if anyone has any preferences.

BTW I was gonna go for the plain old Rat until I discovered that the other ones existed.

I like the Turbo best myself, personally. Try and find a shop where you can try them out.

Buy the RAT Deucetone, has all the RATs built into one. Musician Inc have em in at the moment. well worth buying. I use a regular RAT and my mate uses a Turbo RAT. All depends on what you wanna play really

Yeah try them all out, is the turbo higher gain than the normal one?

Deucetones are great, but remember that the RATs don't differ *that* drastically. It's probably best to get the one you *do* want and an EQ.

Remember, the Deucetone won't do all versions of the original rat. Just RAT(2, presumably), Turbo RAT, and You Dirty Rat.

They differ enough in fairness. the regular rat has a more classic distortion while the Turbo is more high gain. a bit sharper. I love the RAT pedals , they are one of my main choices for non amp distortion, them and Big Muffs.
The range of sounds from any RAT is excellent though

It's an overdrive/distortion pedal for guitars.
