Excellent reviews on top gear anyway....

Good reviews but not too sure if they suffer from the same problem as many other German cars with regards to the standard specifications being quite poor.

The Volvo in the same range is supposed to be an excellent buy (I think it is the one Clarkson bought). Prices below from Carzone, and are the starting price.

    BMW X3: €52,500
    VW €59,360
    Volvo €67,165
    Merc ML: €63,900
    Lexus RX300: €64,890
    BMW X5: €73,100

Have to agree with that - apparently it is the name of some desert tribe that wander around (pronounced "twa-reg"). Just sounds silly though. Better than the Sear Arouser though...

A good Friend of mine has a 2.5 Tuareg.. its a fantastic machine.. good spec and drives like a charm. Beware of thirst of that engine if doing high miles though.. can sink to 25 mpg

I really like them, very comfortable. All the ones I've seen have been high-specced but that could just be each owner, but I've seen alot

A neighbour of mine has one, and he doesnt like it. He reckons his 3.0 Landcruiser is way faster than it, and better on fuel.

Load space in these is poor enough in my opinion. Buy a land cruiser.
