well im sure we've all done it, wake up the next morning feeling like sh!t and then it hits you.....'did i play poker last night?'. Well after sticking to a personal rule not to ever play again whilst intoxicated i arrived home around 3 sunday mornin well hammered and entered a small freeze out on PPP for $20 entry, proceeded to gather a nice stack, then fell asleep and somehow woke up 20 minutes later to continue playing and low and behold a couple of hours later i took 1st for $400 haha, let that be a lesson to all of you :D !!

    Good luck
    Shay

The first time I moved upto $1/$2 omaha was at 7 in the morning after 12 hours of drinking. Needless to say my $200 buyin lasted about 10 minutes. The hangover the next day took care of the guilt.

Oh jesus I think I'd rather slit my wrists.

Last time I came home drunk and decided to stay up playing poker, someone broke into my house at 4am. I locked myself into my room and called the cops. The Junkie still wouldn't leave!! lol. Cops showed up in a minute flat and beat the pulp out of him. **** knows what would have happened if I'd just gone to sleep.

Ive made more money playing poker drunk than sober. The most money I ever won at a single table was after going out for drinks with my work, I came back absolutely legless and ran €300 up to €4000 playing $2 $4 omaha. I started to sober up in the morning and dropped $1k before deciding to go to bed.

    haha

Strolled in to the Fitz quite loaded after a meal and drinks out with PP a few nights ago.

I have never seen so many fish on one table, I doubled up with 86o on the bb when I caught a two pair. to which my bets were called with A high, he hit on the river and put me all in nice.

I move table and on a round of omaha I look down and see Q10s 55 MONSTER! Fish raises x decent player re-raises 25 to see a flop thankfully I only sat down with 70 quid.

I get what I deserve for calling the raise with that muck a Q10 x flop to which I push, board pairs on the river, im stumbling home.

Im telling you the Fitz is rigged, what is it with the river cards in there!

I'd imagine most of these stories are bad... early on in my casino days I wandered into the Fitz at 4 in the morning, shortly after leaving Coppers and ever so slightly beered up... and with 800euro out of my 1K bankroll. No 50 game going, so I sit into the 100 omaha game. Three buy-ins of 300, 300 and my final 200, three times I get my money in on the flop with the best of it, and three times I get dogged by absolute ****e. All I had left was 3 euro... enough to get a bus home at 6.30am. So I get home with the worst hangover ever, and decide I'll sleep for most of the day before heading to work. Then the landlord comes to do some work on the house at 9am... with a f**king kango drill!

Talk about learning the hard way. The worst thing was that my bankroll was practically gone, and it took me a few months to get back playing.

Edit: BTW, both Luke and Mick the dealer advised me not to play, in case anyone is thinking I was suckered into playing the game. T'was my own fault!

lol. I was in a private tournament on PS at the time and blinded off short of the money while standing behind my bedroom door holding the cistern from my en-suite toilet ready to pund the ****er if he tried to beak in to my room. Thankfully the cops came before that happened but I still lost my $10. ****in' junkie asshole! :p

    or the flush .... :o

Good point there culchie. with the cistern gone the flush draw was the bigger danger.
Nicky was a bit lucky there though. He hadnt many outs left with the intruder actually in the house. He should have bet the turn(locked the doors/windows) and it might never have come to that. Saved by the river card(guards) though.

I was on boards (after another glorious exit in the Merrion my QQ cracked by 55 when going very well about 14 left) when Big Dragon posted.

Could I fcuk find your tourney, but found hector on the final table in the 5K freeroll though.

Ring game 0.10c Omaha with Hyzepher, Doc and I doing damage.

Admittedly the damage Hyzepher was doing was to his own stack!! ;)
Board pairing on river type hands in fairness when he had the nuts on the flop and turn.

    Fun had by all.

I hate those small stakes games but that one was fun - had a much better return on the .5/1 Omaha game - was up a few hundred before I was 'forced' to retire.
