    I am looking to get a red setter puppy can anyone steer me in the right direction or does anyone know a reputable breeder I could talk to I would also love to hear from other Red setter owners to hear what they are like as pets

    Been a long time since I had one but Goldie was the best dog I ever had. I found they made excellent pets and good with kids

    Red setters are a lovely dog, but remember as a working breed they need tons of excercise and time since they are very active and good escape artists. One we had years ago scaled a high wall (over 8 feet) with wire over the top.
