Probably the wrong forum to post it in but i need advice. Was out in a club last night and was quite drunk... one of the girls i was with was a well known heroin addict (i don't touch the stuff before anybody asks). Anyway she bought me a drink and that was grand... the night continued on and by 4 o clock i got an insane stabbing pain in my stomach which left me contorting in pain for most of the early hours... I feel aboslutley sick today and can't stop throwing up. I feel drained and tired and every part of me just aches... I'm beginning to think my drink was spiked but she has sworn she put nothing in it. Does anybody know what this could possibly be??

The vast majority of spiking incidents involve alcohol only.

Drink water, eat light food (toast), go to doctor.

No i only had two pints and both of them remained in my hands at all times... a few friends have suggested that i have a really bad hangover, but i've been through the worst hangovers and have never ever been as bad as this... Its a horrible feeling...i just want to sleep...

Sounds like it was spiked. Happened to me. I was unable to move from my bed and was vomitting on and off for a good 10 hours (anytime I woke up).

Get some type of energy drink like BPM as it has eletrolytes( some type of lytes anyway) in it and helps with dehydration.

Someone dosen't have to buy you a drink to spike it, it only takes a second to spike someones drink, somehow I find it annoying that because she is on heroin she spiked it.

I wouldn't say you were spiked, you didn't say you acted weird, how did you feel psychologically? noramlly (depending on what you are spiked with) you'd be absolutely hammered or completely mad. Where was the pain?? could be food poisoning amongst other things.

I'm not equating her being a heroin addict to her being the culprit, i just personally don't trust her. It was sudden, as in i was in the sitting room and suddenly this pain just hit me. psychologically i was in a state that anyone drinking would be but physically i could have just slept in the club... very weird and very frightening because i have no idea what long term damage has been done...thats what frightens me most now...

first thing i suggest you do is to help your friend with his/her heroin addiction. do whatever you can, even go to the measure of reporting her/him to the police and try to find out who their dealer is and tip off the police on the garda confidential line. dont let your friend succumb to that tragic conclusion in their life. tell the parents even. you will be thanked you in the long run. please dont let your friend suffer, if you are a true friend, help.

if you are truly concerned that you may have had your drink spiked, the one sure way of finding out is to inform the police and give a urine sample for analysis. after that you can take action to try and find out who is responsible for it and try to get something done about it. you may not necessarily have had your drink spiked, many factors can lead to a sick day after a night on the booze.

if you suspect that your friend may have spiked our drink, dont go too hard on her/him. people who are addicted to heroin will do things llike that. they hope that you will thank them for giving you the experience. they believe that life is great when they take that 5hit and want you to experience the wonderful feelings they get when they take a hit. of any illicit drug ever to have hit the streets, heroin is the one that completely ruins lives the most. i had an acquaintance who went through the mill with it. dead now! RIP

try to avoid areas that that kind of thing is going on. go to upmarket clubs that have high security and surveillance. the entrance fee is usually not too dissimilar from the 5hit places.

i reiterate, help your friend if you can. its not your responsibility to do so, but if you can it would be one of the greatest things you can do in your life. if you cant or dont want to, maybe inform someone that will.

You'll be fine! Although it took me 5 or 6 days to recover properly.. and then there are the eye twitches i get every now and then (only joking!)

You could have just had a bad pint. **** happens.... Personally I went out one night and drank no more than usual but after I had a headache for 2 days and thought I was gonna die the morning after. If you're more sick than you can cope with then live with it. Stuff happens, you didn't die so it's not all bad.

Personally it bugs me that whenever something happens when alcohol is involved then "it must have been spiked" is the only answer. Although if your hanging out with heroin addicts anything is possible.

Quite a few of the pubs in this area have very poor quality drink, in a lot of cases they don't clean the taps as often as they should. My parents are always saying how bad the drink tastes in pubs here. I've often seen them feeling very sick the next morning.

So your drink may have been spiked but maybe not. Especially if you had it with you all the time.

I'm not jumping to the conclusion that it was spiked, i simply asked the question of what you people thought? I'm actually starting to feel a bit better now, getting sick less often than i was earlier in the day but the aches remain, and are extremly uncomfortable..

I'm going with this, coupled with bad diet and poor hygiene. :D

Go to the doctor, this is not a medical forum.

    it could just be...
be food poisoning, eat anything dodgy that evening?
    stomach ulcer, drink often?
    bad drink, reputable club?
best go to doctor for advice.
