anyone seen the article in todays irish times about this. It says that the spectrum they use for mmds has been allocated to the mobile companies for 3G services by europe. how likely is this to happen and will it leave their mmds customers with no tv or can they get another frequency?

The article writer may be slightly confused. Some years ago the MMDS companies were told that they would have to relinquish their higest and lowest analogue MMDS frequencies to 'mobile telephony services'. This should not affect NTL as they have already converted their MMDS services to a fully digital platform.

Chorus may have some analogue transmitters still running, but, no doubt, the same will apply to them. ;)

Am sure the writer was confused, they kept refering to MMDS as "cable TV"...
