Agreed. Get that up to 100%, and do the same with "No Fold" and you should see a change straight away.

Anyone know who 'hilton' and 'malb71' and 'h32' on ppp are?.
They are all Irish and play successfully in all the big ppp tournaments. Just curious as to who they are. Do they play in any big live events in Dublin?.

well as far as I see...you're seeing too many flops...in limit play...ultra tight is right...seeing 85% of flops is too many...you can't be getting that many good starting hands...

also, are you playing short handed or full ring games?

I'm no good at short handed tables but I've been able to make some money in full ring games....I find that when I'm playing good limit hold em, I'm folding about as many times as you're seeing a flop....

I'll sit back and wait for AK, AQ, AA KK QQ JJ 1010 99 88 77...and raise and re-raise the bejebus out of it...I'll also see flops with J10s, QJs KJs, AJs and A10s....

suited connectors are not good in limit...they work well in pot limit and no limit because if you hit and get paid off, you get paid off big...but in limit you don't get paid off as much so they don't have the same +EV....that being said...I still might call if I'm in late position if I think it won't be raised.

you've also got to remember that its very hard to bluff in limit due to the fact that someone can just shut down and call you all the way.

    Hope this helps a bit...

    Nic

I wont try and analyse your stats, but as far as im concerned limit is all about 4th street. Quite similar to Omaha except you can gamble a little bit more in limit because it wont cost you as much to see the river card. Basically if you are top pair and good kicker etc come the flop, or just say you know your ahead, your bet or re-raise should give you an idea what other guys have. Come fourth street you work out the odds of the drawing guys, have they hit their card or increased their percentages. Work out there and then which player is most likely to win the pot percentage wise if you can. Think of it a bit like omaha, percentages and draws. The big dogs in the states play high stakes limit waiting for the guys who dont know there odds and winning a higher percentage of pots........If your percentages are good play to the river - a bad player will often keep chasing even if fourth street doesnt help, they're the guys whose cash you wana take!!

85% of flops? That's suicidal. 25-30% is about right for 9 handed. 40% for 6 handed. The fact that you've only won 30% of your showdowns says it all. If you are not around the 50% mark you are playing too loose, not giving reraises enough respect and paying people off when they outdraw you.

I don't agree with what a lot of what nic said. There is a lot of bluffing in limit. In fact limit is all about semi bluffing and if you play too tight people will just walk all over you. Suited connectors are GOLDEN in limit because you get a better price for your draws than in non-limit games. Mentally it can be very tough because a lot of the time you are just palying with overcards. Howard Lederer recommends you defend you BB to a button raise with a hand as low as 4-7o and so do I.

I play a very loose limit game but I only ever play shorthanded cash games which is much more ABC that full handed since shorthanded you should only ever raises when you first into a pot while full handed there are a lot of situations where its correct to limp in (which I hate doing)

Hector what is your VPIP% on pokertracker? (Vol. put $ in pot)
