Paned page views in Firefox?

Is there any plugin or build (Linux) for Firefox that has paned page browsing. Konqueror, Safari and Opera all have this functionality, afaik, but Firefox doesn't.

The reason is, I'm currently teaching myself the innards of advanced shell scripting (and therefore system administraton) and Pyton. I've various tutorials open on the matter. However, with Firefox I can only view one page at a time-its annoying when a page refers to another matter and I have to go back through tabs for it-and having more than one window open takes up a lot of screen space.

I tried links2 and lynx in a terminal (in a Linux system) and while it fufils a lot of what I want in having more than one page open and saving on screen space, they lose a lot of formatting, even for a basic html page, and it murders my eyes after a few hours.

Konqueror is too slow and bloated outside of KDE, to load and use, I don't really like Opera and Safari doesn't have a Linux build afaik. So I'm left looking for a "lite" browser of Firefox plugin that will let me pane pages.

Does anyone know of anything that would help?
