I am thinking of purchasing this PC from PC World. Does any one have any suggestions or views on it. I know that I can burn DVD's with it but can I also burn CD's?

    Many thanks

The DVD writer will be able to burn CDs aswell, at least I've never heard of one that can't, you could always check with them before handing over your cash.

The only other thing is that if you're planning on playing the latest games you'd really want 1Gb of Ram and the '128Mb SIS Mirage Graphics' isn't really going to cut it. This is basically a cheap chip integrated into the system and it's 128Mb is 'shared' with the system memory, which means it takes 128Mb of your 512 Mb DDR SDRAM leaving you with just 384MB (altough you can probably adjust how much it uses).

It'd be fine for stuff like watching/listening/burning DVD/CDs (altough it doesn't mention sound so that may not be great quality), using the internet/email and word/excel etc.

    As long as it's cheap...
