College is so much nicer during the summer, so quiet, so empty. Lovely and peaceful. Granted I'm only talking about the Hamilton end as Front Square is mad at the moment. No queues in the shop here, no queues for computers and best of all plenty of bench space outside to read during breaks. Why can't TCD be like this all year round?

I spent an hour or two relaxing out by the cricket pitch today, just sitting there with my walkman on. Was great. Of course I'll soon be getting pissed off of the front square tours which will go on all summer.

"tours of the college - including entrance to the book of kells...tours of the college...leaving from here..." ad infinitum.

i really like the peace and quiet at this time, but then in October it's nice to see the buzz of people around again.

the arts block is horrible at the moment though, i'd hate to be studying there at the moment with the Dublin Audiovisual Tourist Black Hole taking up space.

Today would have been nice, if my nose and eyes weren't dripping like taps for most of it, that is..You'd think that being a bogger and all, I'd be used to pollen. Well you'd be ****ing wrong, wouldn't you.

    GAH.

The peace is great but the West End is kind of lonely... you don't bump into people you know in the Arts Block, upstairs in House 6 is too quiet. The people (tourists) asking you to take pictures of them standing in front of the Campanile as you walk through Front Square aren’t a compensation.

I went to see a friend of mines grave today, for the first time since he died. which was hard.

However, i spent the day after that sitting on the grass outside of the arts block talking to one of the most important people in the world to me. which was the best day i've had in a long time. I definitely prefer Trinity now

To be admitted into the mystery school for the training of Monks, both male and female, into the Sacerdotal Order of Universal Life, is a once in a lifetime honor and privilege.

but you have to pay for it though. sigh. guess i'll have to do it the old-fashioned way...
