From a NZ co-worker of mine:

    Hey Al

underwhelmed really. Have been to the last 2 games (Maoris and Wellington) and havent seen anything there that impresses. A slick Super12 team like my favourite Crusaders would have killed them last night.

It was supposed to be the test backline last night. Baloney. I assume that the test forward pack will get a run on Saturday against Otago.

Graham Henry was sitting infornt of me, 5 seats to the left. Didnt see him smile all night. The All Blacks are serious and will be looking for a whitewash.

The front page of the paper thismornig says it all. "PUSSYCATS".

More reports as the tour progresses!

The back play was poor alright.

I wouldn't be so confident if I was a New Zealander. If they are so good then they should be winning the tri-nations every year! Austrailia and south africa know how to play against them and I think Clive will be reviewing last years matches!

just makes the team talk before the test much easier.....just show the pack the front page and i'm sure they'll go out their and attack the first kiwi in sight..

remember that in 1997 the lions were even bigger underdogs....

The more and more i think of the Test the more im concerned that SCW makes the right choice at 10. Im sorry has to be Hodgson starting with ROG on the bench. Hodgson does the basics right but ROG has two games - the gin line with flat passes which is very touchy for the intercept but could play the NZ backs offside all day - the other is the corners,we have to look at our lineout its very good.

With those two we can mix and match in a big way.IF its Jenkins/Byrne/White in the front row its a very good start. Want Cusitor at scrum half though he will be key with Peel as impact sub. Something tells me write this team off at your peril.

Seems like a slly thing to say but watched the matches i have here and if it falls right The All Blacks could be out gunned. Only scared of McCaw,Back will need to meet him head on

typical southern hemisphere trash talk this happens every single lions tour to be honest just asking to have it thrown back in their face

if the lions beat them the excuses should be hilarious
