Lovely place, really picturesque in the snow and lack of traffic and so forth is wonderful.

Prices are just stupid though - could barely afford 3 square meals! Ended up staying the Best Western and fleecing their buffet so we could just snack for lunch. I kid you not. Flew Ryanair through Glasgow on a super-cheap deal a good few years ago.

I was in Oslo, and it was absolutely fantastic. Some fantastic museums and gallerys around there.

One day we took a ferry from the harbour out to another area which had about 4 or 5 different museums close by, got to see the Viking Ship Museum, the Polar Ship Fram, an old medieval villiage, and some other things, which were all quite excellent.

Bring lots of money though, it can be very expensive, especially drinks.

Sounds positive guys, thanks. Anyone know what the wheather would be like in july? Also what kind of money would we be talking about for pints? i've been to iceland and everyone told me before i went that i was crazy as its very expensive but it didnt turn out half bad at all, it was easy to find bars that served drink for about the same price as here (not that thats particularly cheap!).
