Finding the Badwolf!

Note: If you know who or what badwolf is please put it in a spoiler.

I've been wandering around the net looking for clues regarding bad wolf. One thing I have noticed is the whole Dr Who series has been on the net in one form or another...

    Example:
UNIT http://www.unit.org.uk/ (password is easy to guess).

http://www.whoisdoctorwho.co.uk/ = Site from the first episode that the Dr nut points out.

http://www.geocomtex.net/ = The company that was stealing alien technology.

http://www.badwolf.org.uk/ Covers somer references of bad wolf but was put up to throw people off the scent.

    ...
http://ned.ucam.org/~sdh31/tv/badwolf.html has the best list of bad wolf references and a guess as to why they are appearing (so spoilers).

    Heres what I think.
I think Bad Wolf is Roses boyfriend. When they go into the past the maid mentions that Rose has met the big bad wolf, which means bad wolf shows up in the first few episodes. The doctor gave Roses boyfriend a virus to use on the internet which would destroy all references to the Doctor. He mentioned researching the Doctor before they returned the second time. Its possible he modified the virus to find information on the doctor after the argument at Cardiff. Because the websites still exist, prehaps this is also a clue.

Bad Wolf 1 helicopter might suggest he was in charge of GeoComTex (or even was for a while before a mind wipe).

There's a thread on the Sci-Fi forum about it here. Personally I think it's
    Adam. Here's the reasoning:
    1) He has a grudge against the Doctor for chucking him out, so would seek to manipulate him for revenge.
    2) He has 200k years of knowledge in his brain with, perhaps, the ability to work out time-travel
    3) He worked with Geocomtex and thus could have been responsible for assigning the "Bad Wolf" callsign.
    4) The finale is set in the same location as the last story Adam was in - thus bringing a sort of symmetry.

I'd have to agree with ixoy, though
it could be Rose's boyfriend and Adam could just be a red herring.
    Anyway, roll on next episode.

Avoid the newspapers and most sites on the matter! There are spoilers everywhere. Though I expect there could be Red Herrings, they filmed alternate endings.

    Some more thoughts
Mickey (roses boyfriend) had a video game called "Bad wolf" in his room. He also now runs the site looking for the doctor, there is a page on the site that he claims he had evidence that the Doctor had killed Roses father.

    One other thing supporting Hobbes:
The Doctor keeps saying "Rickey" - maybe there's more to that than he's letting on?

I've managed to resist reading them so far

I don't know why I bother opening the thread though.

I haven't been a massive Doctor Who fan for very long, but could it be
The Master? (i think thats what he was called)

    From what I remember
The master is in fact another incantation of the Doctor, however I forget where I read it but this Doctor is not in fact the real doctor but is from his planet, although on the first episode he does make a reference to suggest he had in fact just regenerated (comment about his ears)

That would tie in with the idea that
the doctor is the bag wolf. re all the big ears/eyes references. Maybe he doesn't realise it and thinks he is the doctor?

    That said it sounds unlikely.
I think it has something to do with the Dalek that Rose gave her DNA to.

Didn't guess that one! I don't really understand how Rose was "Bad Wolf" and why she chose those words though...

Loved the regeneration scene though. Will be interesting to see David Tennant as the Doctor!

From what I gather bad wolf was the name of the company and Rose using the tardis scattered the name through time (where the tardis had landed and become part of the timeline) so she would be prompted to go back to save the doctor, bit of an anti-climax tbh.

Do you think? I thought it was as the doctor said, fantastic. I thought Bad Wolf was used well. The regeneration though I think was shot seperately to when Rose was looking at the new doctor because the lighting is very different and Rose's shots are grainy.

I thought that the look in the Doctors eyes after he absorbed the Time Vortex from Rose was really good, he looked really evil with the big glowing eyes :D .

One thing i've been tring to find out is when did the Timewar take place? Did it take place during one of the older seasons, or in one of the books or recording, or was it just put in there to make sense of what happened to the Daleks and Timelord?
