Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good make of back pack and where i could find one, also cheaply (preferably with lots of hook thingys&pockets)-I'm a ickle lady so I need something with straps round the waist and shoulders.I'm looking for something that would do me a month (attempting minimal girly packing..)

Also, I aint the worlds strongest lady, but I won't wuss out before i try :D ... is it possible to carry something that weighs the same as you...?eek I'm 45kg and been look at bags that take that amount of weight( just in case...ok nevermind minimal girly packing)...any ladies out there with any experience of trekking round with massive bags...?

    Cheers

I went to ramblers way on mary street (walk down henry street, past the jervis, keep on straight, on your right) and they've a great selection of backpacks. i got me a 105 litre (the biggest one without wheels) with a detachable day pack for €90. I'm going to spain for 7 weeks and it fits all my crap, including sleeping bag and all that! The bag i got also has a suitcase style which fits more than rucksack style and also has a handy compartment to store the straps so they dont get stuck in the airplane/train/whatever when its being transported!

you can spend as much or as little as you want, i got medium range version. top of that range is sporthouse - super quality but you'll pay big moneys.

ramblers way have a sale on at the minute with decent bags in it! there's at least one type of 100 litre bag for about €40 which is brill value.

    hope this helps

It depends on where you are going and what you intend on bringing. You won't need half of what you plan on bringing. look here --->http://www.the-backpacking-site.com/what-to-pack.html
