You get what you pay for. They do what they say but they're made out of the cheapest materials you can find. For the money, they do amazing things but I'd view them as a step to something else, I wouldn't want to be depending on one. Of the Behringer gear I've used in the studio, they all seem to have switches that fail, buttons that break etc after a while.

    Still, for the money... ;)

Checkout the Ashdown MAG series... the 4x10 combo looks sweet and it doesnt cost much more than €500 if i recall correctly... It would be a BIG step up from a Behringer

I just got myself a Behringer V-Amp Pro, and I have to say, I am extremely impressed. Definetly not something I'd use live, but I do plan to be using it for recording some demos, and for that it seems perfect.

Keep in mind, I haven't had this long enough for anything major to **** up on me, but it seems to be very solidly built, and it certainly does what it says on the tin and then some.

the Vamp Pros are excellent . we are using them on tour in the states. My Head is essentially a V.amp Pro with an Amplifier and a few other options. Sounds excellent.

That Ashdown for sale is a right deal. They're noice amps, as far as I remember.

I'd agree with comments before - Behringer kit works well and is generally great value for money. My only complaint would be the quality of switches and jack sockets. As they are all surface mounted without being supported by the chassis they're REALLY prone to failure and can't be easily replaced or modded to avoid failure - At least that's the case on their 19" equipment. If you're going to use 19" kit you'd be well advised to pick up a patch panel so you can leave your modules permanently connected to the patch bay and do all your plugging/unplugging on the patch bay sockets instead. At least then you can either repair or replace a cheaper unit instead of running the risk of damaging your 19" kit.

    Just a suggestion.

I've been having lots of fun mucking about with my V-Amp Pro, and I'm getting some very nice tones out of it with some tweakage.

I like it so much so that I'm considering getting the matching Bass V-Amp and sticking them in a rack together. I'll have a nice little setup then, but I might have to look at what kind of small speaker cab I could use with that rig, aswell as plugging direct into the PC for recording purposes.

Might need to take into account what Gil_Dub has said too.
