Sata / IDE problem

    I have a sata raptor drive, with windows on it and a ide with movies and stuff i have a ibit max 3 mother board but it keeps defaulting to the IDE drive it recognizes the two drive in the bios but it wont boot when both and installed because it defualts to the ide, its fine with out the ide powered up, but thats not much good to me. ANY ONE ANY IDEAS????????

    Go into the bios at boot up (normally press del, look for the promt) and change the boot order to use SATA first.

    Sorry but have tried that its not the boot sequence it another setting. when i have the boot sequence like that my machine wont boot at all. any other ideas?

    Just wondering...
    Do you have one set to Master and the other set to Slave using the jumpers on each drive?

    Change your bios to boot from SCSI maybe worked for me before

    Sata is master and ide is slave does will try the sci in bios cheers

    You want the Raptor to boot?

    Administrive Tools>Computer Management>Disc Management

    Select the Raptor, Right Click and Select 'Mark Partition As Active'.
