Could someone help me translate this into Irish:

"It's better to die like a wolf than to have lived like a dog"

Is fearr bás a fháil chomh mhic tire ná.....chomh madra????

"Give me good friends and a sweet revenge"

Tabhair dom cairde maith agus díoltas dhil

Is fearr bás a fháil cosúil le mac tíre ná maireachtaint cosúil le madra.

(chomh means as, cosúil le means like)

"Give me good friends and a sweet revenge"

Tabhair dom cairde maithe agus díoltas. (I left out the sweet because "dil" sounds a bit weird there imo).

I still think they sound a bit stilted though - might think of more "flowing" ones later!

yeah, although I can't find any fault with your translation simu I think you'd agree that the first is very long-winded for an Irish proverb. Would something snappier be better, like:

Is fearr bás mic tíre ná beatha madra.

in the same vein as:

Is fearr an tsláinte na an táinte

I think I'd go for simplicity again.

Cairde Maithe is/agus Díoltas Milis

I really don't see a need to literally translate "give me". The sentiment remains the same.
