Flights From Bangkok-Hanoi

    Guys i need your help!

    Im flying into Thailand on the 7th July but Im hoping to get an internal flight from Bangkok to Hanoi like the next day. Ive tried air asia and they don't do that route and vietnam airlines dont take internet bookings. Anyone know how i should do this? Or will i just leave it till im out there? :confused:

    Also I'll need to find accom in Bangkok for that night anyone know where i should head? Thanks guys!

    www.thaiair.com have a flight for about €150 (I've never flown with them so I can't vouch for them, I've heard they're good though).
    Try www.asiahotels.com for the accommodation, I've used them a few times in different parts of Asia and never had a problem with them.

    Thanks guys-does anyone else have any experience with these companies,or can recommend ones they've used?

    One other question about visas,I know ill be issused with one with I arrive in Thailand but will I also recieve one when I arrive in Hanoi or does that have to be organised before I go?

    You can't get any visas on arrival in Vietnam afaik (unless something has changed since last November).
    Arrange it before you leave with the embassy in London. I had no choice but to do that last time I was in Asia (Vietnam was my first stop). You can arrange it in Thailand too but seeing as you're only spending a day or two there best get it now and save your time in Thailand for doing some exploring.
    Here's the link for the embassy, look for the visa application form - fill that out, send it to them with your passport, a few passport photos and the cash and you'll get it back in about 2 weeks or so. (I mailed them first to confirm how much cash to send)

    EDIT: Just noticed it's the 7th you're heading off, in case that might be a bit tight for you for getting the visa from the UK, there's a post here on the Lonely Planet site that might be of help.
