I've just been told my a recruitment agency that my cv is all over the place. I had a feeling it wasn't really up to scatch but I really don't know what it should look like.

I've been working in IT (mainly deskside support) for the past 4 - 5 years. Does anyone know what sort of layout I should be using ?? and if possible can someone show me what a decent cv should look like.

    Thanks
    K

Have a look at the sample CVs on the gradireland.com website. See http://www.gradireland.com/advice/template.asp?SectionID=4&ID=32.

You could take a look at the cvs at this site also - www.hookhead.com. They should give you some ideas.

Thanks for the links. I managed to get my CV sorted after 3 hours on the pc last night.

Now all i need is a decent job. I'm not having much luck with recruitment agencies.

I have been applying for jobs through agencies for the past year and a half and have got nowhere. Sometimes I wonder if the job I'm applying for actually exists!

    You've answered your own question...

Ads in the Papers, and networking friends and family are the best ways to find a job. Agencies aren't. End of story.
