Heineken Cup Pools drawn this morning:

    Munster, Sale, Castres and Dragons

    Leinster, Bath, Bourgoin, Glasgow

    Cardiff, Calvisano, Perpignon, Leeds

    Biarritz, Ulster, Saracens, treviso

    Wasps, Toulouse, Llanelli, Edinburgh

Leicester, Stade Francais, Ospreys and Clemount Auvergne

Not the worst for Munster, Deja Vu for Leinster but tougher and Ulster have a real chance.

oh for a bit of variety.....christ it was boring enough watching bath and bourgoin last year....perhaps bourgoin might actually play a team at lansdowne rd this season and bath might be able to pass it out their backs for once....

Its not the best for Munster, Sale and Castres away will be tough, but they'll be able for it. Bourgoin area the worst French team ever in the Heineken Cup, how they keep doing so well in France is beyond me.

It's not that they are the worst team in France but they don't take the HC seriously.

Sorry to ask but I've a hazy memory regarding their lack of interest and fielding poor teams...what do they concentrate on instead of the HEC? Domestic rugby?

exactly...they are quite a small team in terms of squad size and financial might...they can't really give 100% (so they claim) to both the european cup and the french championship (which is only now nearly over )

Thanks for that. There's no wage caps for the big teams in France right?

Could have been worse from an Irish perspective. There's even a slim chance that all three could progress past their groups. It also looks possible that all the Welsh sides will fail to progress which is to be welcomed as it will allow them to prepare and concentrate fully on the real contest of the season - the Powergen Cup. Ha ha.

I'd be fairly confident of all 3 getting out of the group stage, Leinster and Munster winning their groups, with Leinster top seeds again, and Ulster as top 2 runner up.

It would be nice to have 3 Irish teams in the Quaters for once, and Ulster starting to recover from a very poor few years.

Unfortunatly i cant see any of them winning it, Leinster and Munster for the Semi maybe, but thats about it. They'll both go out to French opposition.
