The German Media Markt celebrates their 200th branch opening with this offer.

A Nintendo GameCube including Mario Cart Game for 66 € - I don't know what the current price for GameCube is in Ireland, but I think that's pretty darn cheap. I have German Satellite TV and its a good way checking their Ads to control how far one is ripped off in Ireland - do you agree?

    cheers

That's a brilliant deal. It's currently €125 in GAME for the platinum GC/Mario Kart bundle.

Yes I will give you more information will have to do some research over the weekend. They were doing a brilliant 4 MegaPixel Fuji FinePix A 340 digital camera for 150 € last year - lovely menus and great quality on that. Quality wise this was about 3 times better than the Aiptek LIDL camera I had bought the year before that for 120 € (it broke after 6 months  )

I think they are also quite good & cheap on PC stuff. I bought my LG Dual Layer DVD burner there last summer - about 120 €. Haven't created any coasters on that so far, the critics raved about that when it came out. :D

In the meantime, here is a link to their website (and yes, they have an online shop, just don't know whether they deliver to Ireland). http://www.mediamarkt.de/
(sorry, German site, but you get the idea ;) )

They and Saturn (electronic retailer in Germany "Geiz ist Geil!") are the main reason for me being pissed of with the Irish ripoff merchants. They show how cheap stuff can be, without having to go to America.

    cheers

    Link to Gamecube deal?

I've tried navigating that site (German isn't *that* hard to interpret), but it is proving rather dificult.

ditto, German and English is interoperable for the most part, you just cant get the specifics, only generalities. I checked that website and found the Gamecube for sale at €115 (or similar), quite a bit of a difference.

Personally, if I cant get a Gamecube for around that deal price, I'm not interested. I already have myself an Xbox and PS2, but dont care enough about the cheeky/cheesy nintento gamecube enough to pay full price.

I couldn't find it either - the "200th store" offers that I saw were a phone, cappucino maker , a DVD-HDD recorder and a Permiere subscription.

Last year they advertised a dirt-cheap portable dvd player on satellite TV but it wasn't available on the site.

Well if it is a decoy offer you might actually only get it in stores. that price is definitely advertised all over all major German cable stations. sry.
