Saw this in a shop few weeks back...and was all gibberish...A Total War type game in the Napoleonic wars...AHHHHH sweet.

not only that but it also does proper naval battles and hints at a more complex diplomecy system.

Sadly i am travelling at moment so cant pick it up. If anyone here has can you tell me how it copes against the total war series.

i can see graphics wise it aint as pretty but that doesnt bother me.

I had a look there at a demo awhile back, seemed like a decent game (didn't play naval battles). Can't remember the differences between it and Total War sorry.

It dont look as good as other games. But its all right over all i think RTW is much much better. If you dont have RTW get that first before this game or maybe even giving this game a skip.

i already have RTW i was wondering does this add anything worthwhile...i mean does the naval battles and new diplomecy really add to the game more? making it more unique?

Havent played it some PC magazine - PC gamer or something - carried a fairly negative review. Apparently battle AI is pants, battles are chaotic messes and the reviewer just basically didnt find too much to like about the game.

I dont know, maybe he didnt get enough in the brown envelope but whilst Id kill for a Napoleon: Total War, the review has kinda dampened any interest I had for this game. I will say its amazing that its taken this long for Total War clones to appear. If I remember correctly Pyro are behind this and apart from Commandos none of their games have been all that good.

I tried the demo and actually thought it was awful. I can't take the game seriously. The interface is terrible. Units are difficult to control. There's no moral system whatsoever! Terrible, truly.
