Also can someone explain why we're changing names? As far as I've gleaned we're absorbing another smaller guild into ours, and a new name is part of the deal. Ya?

<critical> was mentioned last night too, which isnt bad either.


or we could go with the irish theme: <pog ma hol> (might have the spelling wrong, heh).

did someone mention that guild we're merging with don't like the <Bored of ie> name so thats why we're changing the name? Does that mean we disband the current guild and start a new one or can we just rename the guild?

i've never really liked our guild name either to be honest. cool guild name FTW!

Yep its me, Gilboa, lvl 60 Priest and Guildleader of <Lux Aeternus>.

Allow me to mention a few words about our guild :
We are at this moment 3 active lvl 60s, Priest, Shaman, Mage (pvp freak, lives, loves and dies in BG :P).
Furthermore there is a lvl 57 Rogue and as well as another much lower character, a priest and of course some alts.

We used to have 2 more 60s (Rogue/Shaman) but they moved on to another guild because it was too hard for the more commonly played classes to find a spot for instance group if in a small guild. But we still play together and chat together anyway and maybe they might even consider returning.

There's also 2 more people that are considering joining Lux, a lvl 60 mage and a lvl 60 warlock (a couple), however, they are not quite sure yet because of our plans to merge.


Anyway, the reason why we are such a small guild is because I really care much more about the players personality. Quality is more important than quantity We are a fun and sometimes very silly crew. Sometimes we hang around chatting all evening, sometimes we land up sneaking into Ironforge via Tram and sometimes we group with fellow WoW players we like for some instance business. All are swedish expect myself, I live in the UK. However, they all speak excellent english so language won't be a problem at all.


We all of course would like to see places like MC/Onyxia and the new dungeon Black Wing Lair, but not in a military play style. Again, most important to us is a fun crew to hang around with, and if we have fun plus can achieve to do some instance raids, well thats great


Why do we want to merge with <bored of ie>:
I have only really played alot with Vermillion, and we always have had fun. At some point we figured out that we have similar views about the game and guilds and wondered if we should merge so we could so something bigger from time to time but yet still have fun and be laid back if we want to. He informed me that <bored of ie> too wants to have fun rather than a military playstyle, so it sounds good so far


The fairest way to merge the 2 guild Imo is to rebuild it new, a fresh start, by creating a new name and a new charter.
The way I imagine it is that we have sort of a guild "soundboard" (rather then a Leadership, which sounds so military). Made up by a few that don't mind organising certain events (like liasing with friend guilds for MC/Onlyxia/BWL events) and take care that noone gets left out or ignored.



Now about the names:

My favouite by far <Rebirth>:
I think this fits well, 2 guilds stop existing to be reborn as one new guild. But besides that, its a short well sounding name. Its easy to recognize, easy to remember and does have a nice sound to it.

<Gnomophobic> I would go for that if we wanted something funny.

<Zug Zug>: well i had that thought myself, but I think we really would need to be an orc only guild then, but I love my forsaken race and won't give it up! :P


Oh and I would like to add that there might be a few odd ones from other guilds that might join us when we're merged. Those are people play and chat with a lot and we get along very well.

I'm really looking forward to how this is going to work out and hope that we all will be able to get along with each other.
