The 24 hour square is pretty good, they have spanish only bars, and brit/ireland only bars, most disco bars are open til 4 am and the nite clubs go on til at least 7am.

Nice 1, hearing good things bout 24 hour square, gotta go there, thanks :)

Was only ever there 6/7 years ago. Some spot for boozing though. Only places I can remember are Baileys Irish Bar, Garfields and a nightclub with a swimming pool in it.

No idea if they are even still open now or whether theres new , better spots.

As mentioned theres a 24 hour square in Benalmadena just down the road. The waterpark is definitely worth a visit. Its down by Benalmadena as well methinks.

I was there last summer, it was good, a little dodgy though just stay in groups, go to the strip club, its wicked, also the nightclubs are good not as big as i expected but good, the main nightclub is mangos i think, slip one of the bouncers €5 and he loves you for the week keeps you outta **** with the locals who usually gather outside selling drugs. The bar above mangos is good/cheap, anything else PM and ask cos i wont see this thread again. DONT BUY DVDS OVER THERE

Obviously you were in the wrong place wrong time man, i was there august '03, and every one i bumped into was irish, with the odd englishman tellin me how he is somehow irish, food is not great but hey alcohol is all you eat(drink), cheap dinner does the biz, plus you can always buy stuff and cook to what you eat as the norm. beer may be ****e, but is better than some of the ****e you get here, as for brits and union jacks who gives a S**t, ye fcuk dem brits 900 year ago/easter rising blah blah whatever, im on holiday, so are they! who really wants a debate like that? (btw english girls on holiday, drop there pants like you would penny's) here they are showin off their union jack boxers, i was in gran canaria last year and i seen more tri-colours on balconys/tri-colour boxers then you would see hangin from houses during a world cup. say what you want about the skangers/low-lifes the fact is they are there tryin to "represent" ireland abroad. In the end though, thats your experience, you saw it, i cant say you did or didnt, but as the old sayin goes, dont book and cover, eh judging you get my drift.

ya sound like a bit of a dry ar_se in fairness landser. always depends who your with on hols, the most boring situations can turn into the funniest. sounds like you'd be better off on a bus with a load of ould grannies.plenty of lawn bowling, a nice cabaret and a session of karaeoke to finish off the night, lol. obviously the mad drinkin holiday doesn't suit ya. don't go insulting people cause they like goin on a piss up hol, just don't go to hol locations that are known for it.

As you can see from above i was looking to see if anyone was there already this summer and what he best spots are at the moment and if anyone was goin headin out there. i didn't need to know what your opinion of the people who go there is. so in fairness your OP with your own comments.

Back to what this post was meant to be for. :)

im going to Torremollinos on August 28th for 2 weeks and also staying in the Bajondillo apartments coz its so much cheaper than anywhere else, never been there before, however after booking it I read some reviews of the hotel and while they say its clean and good, they say its mostly old people (60+) that stay there and its very quiet in the immediate area, does anyone know if this is true?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,252 ✭✭✭deisedevil

ya that could be true gonzo but i have heard of a lot of young irish people stayin there over the summer, myself and 6 friends are headin there 1st week in august and there are 14 other lads from dublin over there for two weeks round the same time so can't be too bad.anyways 24hr square is very close on the train and you'd be better off havin somewhere kinda quite to head back to to chill out during the day, recharging the batteries etc. i'll post back here when i get back ta let ya know wat it's like and the best spots to go for sessions and food etc. :)
