Interesting, but I'd be very surprised if one of the top two in each group posted failed to make the quarters.

ya, i'd have to agree with that, not much to argue with there. waterford, clare, galway, limerick to go through. anyone have a reason to doubt this? i'd like to see ya try, lol. :)

I'd have to agree, but there could be a shock result in there somewhere, which would throw the cat among the pigeons. Offaly will come out all guns blazing next time out and Laois, with a bit of improvement, could do something. Wexford won comfortably in the end yesterday, but Laois did show some potential.

I think Offaly are capable of beating Waterford and Clare. They were very poor against Kilkenny but they are a better team then that. The other group should be cut and dried.

In fairness i can't see offaly pulling a surprise against waterford, they'll have to do some serious motivation with them in 1 week, that means training like crazy,so how can they get any rest in that period then? it's too soon after kilkenny game.to be honest it seems very unfair on them.being realistic laois won't be up to much either.

They could beat Clare but have no chance of beating Waterford. Outside Cork and Killkenny, Waterford are the best team and should easily top their group.

With Cloonan out, Laois have to fancy their chances in the familiar O Moore Park in Portlaoise on Saturday evening against Galway.
Laois also have Limerick at home, who without six recently dismissed players could have a stickey challenge on their hands when they travel up the N7 to Portlaoise.
Laois venture north to Antrim in what could be a do-or-die game to come out of the qualifiers. Antrim will present a tough challenge, but with Laois's goal scoring ability the Midlanders should see off the challenge of the Saffrons.

Laois have the potential to come out of this group, with Limerick proving the toughest test. Lets hope that sensational goalie Patrick Mullanney keeps injury free as his clean-sheet so far in the Championship has kept team spirit high. Laois sub-goalie is not on form recently - letting in 5 goals against Limerick in the League.

Possibly but usually galway play better without Cloonan. They will prob come out of the group but I think that's as far as they will go. The new format should improve Galways chances but not this year I'm afraid, too much bitterness at club level

That may be, but this is the Championship and Galway have their sights on bigger things.
