I was wondering if a hotel says that meals and accomodation are provided when you start a job there, that this automatically means 'free of charge'....

This would be one of those, "ask them in the interview or over the phone" ones wouldn't it?

    Oh ok :)

Eh, in my experience such phrases can have very different meanings depending on the job. In some it's complimentary bed and board. In other's it's well discounted prices on such (as in half price accom and the like).

It really depends on the job. I don't think there's a hard and fast rule to work by. You really have to ask them.

I think "provided" is open to interpetation. I'd have assume that they were free. But I'd check. Its like that moving where the seller says joking they are taking the stairs and sink etc. But then they actually do take them.
