    My keyboard keeps freezing so i changed it and installed a new usb Keyboard. It worked for a while and now it is freezing also. Have i a motherboard problem or can i rectify it.......

    Umm when the "keyboard" freezes can you move the mouse??? If not then its you PC freezinng not just the keyboard.

    The original keyboard was it PS2 or USB? If PS2 and now a usb one does the same its not likely to be a board problem.

    Go with Sararumans keyboard suggestion first. If it works with the other one great, keyboards are a lot cheaper than motherboards.

    Could also be software too.
    What OS do you have ?
    If windows - leave it sitting in safe mode for a few hours preferabbly running something , to rule out some windows settings/apps.

    Have you installed any software recently that runs all the time in the background or any new hardware.
    If you have overclocked the PC then turn it back.

    The original Keyboard was a ps2 and the mouse does not freeze.....
    When it does freeze when you click on a key on the keyboard you can hear a click sound comming from speaker.
    Ther was no new Hardware or Software installed on this machine lately..
    OS is XP Professional...
