£52.86 plus a few quid for delivery from here (that's UK pounds btw). Or €72 with free delivery from here.

If you've not bought it already you can add a 512 stick when buying the thing (just add the option when buying on the webpage). Dell charge €349 for this. As you might notice the Crucial and shop4memory prices are rather dramatically cheaper.

I dunno, just put it in yourself it's really easy. There will be a small access panel on the bottom if you unscrew that the RAM will just slot in. I wouldn't go paying anyone to do it.

i think the ram is DDR2 in the 9300, so make sure you get DDR2.
Theres 1gig on komplett for €317, but thats back ordered, so you could get 2 512mb modules for €180.

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/memselect.asp?cmd=getModelPartList&strMfr=Dell&strProdLine=Inspiron&strModel=Inspiron+6000

Page is for the 6000 but the 9300 has the same spec RAM.

if ur buying this from the dell website etc. i suggest you maybe hold off until a deal of some sort comes up where they give you a free upgraade to 512. usually happens every month or so doesn't it.

Yea they do alright, and they sometimes do free delievery and €70 to €150 cash back.

And they always seem to be giving away that 720 colour printer.

Maybe its stupid , that I ask now , but i'm planning to buy one in august , next year, now this year , i"m collecting information , to compare with other laptops, so i'l think the inspiron 9000 will come off with 100€ , another thing , GUYS WHAT DO U THINK TO PROMOTE MAKING A LAPTOP 16" !!
i think for me , the 15.4" is too small and the 17" to big, so 16" ??!! :D

TBH next year laptops could be completly different, there could be an inspiron 9400, 9600 for all we know, but i bet anyways that next year the 9300 will be outdated by some bit and will be cheaper, if your buying it in august of this year, wait till then, there will be better options and better deals as well as the price going down.

I got the XPS2 which is basically the gaming version of the 9300..

Overall I am very impressed. I get just over 2 hours on the basic battery. The built quality is very good and I like the keyboard alot. The screen one of the best features.

I can't think of anything I am not happy with..

Yeah your lappy is sound, i seen a screenshot of it on the desktop thread, loads of space there, whats the weight like, i dont want to get a 17" laptop because it would be a burden to carry around, thats why im getting the inspiron 6000 because im used to the 15.4" screen.

I don't have the link off hand...

Admitedly the 17 inch screen adds to the bulk significantly but I am a big lad so can cope ;)

It's not the lightest. Actually it's the heaviest laptop they sell, at a shade under 4 kilos for just the machine. I would guess though that it's the size more than the weight that would cause hassle if that kind of thing would cause you hassle.
