I see two recent posters in the Who's Who (Messrs. Gambino and memeryd) claiming to be Trinity alumni. This got to my inner pedant (memeryd should appreciate this). Collectively they are indeed alumni, unless they have split into some form of divine being - single, but made of many parts (and being from Trinity that may be a possibility); they are individually an alumnus.

Right - that's off my chest so.

A well placed comma wouldn't go astray there. Your inner grammatical pedant obviously hasn't been awoken.

Since the claim to alumnus is being disputed, I claim to be an Illuminatus.....

Anyone who doesn't speak proper Latin (not that wimpy churchy Latin with its soft consonants) should just call themselves a graduate anyway.

Ecclesiastical Latin has its own charm - you should read the sermons of Leo the Great! Or listen to them being pronounced as they should be here

Ah, Ovid. I approve. Looking forward to reading his handbook of seduction next year... (should be novit, by the way). I'll let Son of Belial provide the translation
