    sorry i was just looking at a site and building a pc looks easy but is there any hard parts thinkin that placing the fan on the cpu will be hard and is there any good sites that explain how to build a pc

    Or pick up the 'Build a PC' book from Maplin for €8. It's surprisingly good.

    About the hardest thing in a PC build is installing windows and getting everything to play together. Most of the time something decides to piss windows off. Thats assuming you make a windows box.

    I built a new pc from scratch last year - and had never done it before.
    It's not that hard - start off with the basics.

    Go to your local recycle centre and get an old -prop not owrking- pc from them - open it up and see whats there - play around with it.

    If you have any probs at all - post a q here with a pic and if you cannot get a decent helpful reply - war of the worlds has started !!!!

    enjoy and don't skimp on stuff for the new pc.
