Just flicking around the channels here in Sweden and suddenly Father Ted was on. Waahey not something you expect at 5 in the day! It's amazing how much you miss things sometimes.

What do you guys and gals miss most about home when you are away for a while (apart from the obvious ones like family and stuff, more the little ones)?

Definitely susages, bacon, other basic fry ingreadiants... decent sliced pan... Guiness (although that's a sacrafice I'm willing to make when paying less than €1 for my pint!).

The annoying thing is that they do have LOTS of susages and differint bread here (in Prague), just not the 'normal' ones.. no nice, greasy denny's.

Tea I don't miss because the last vistors from home brought an abundant supply of lyons with them. Bless.

I don't miss the food when I'm away. I miss being able to speak English to everyone, and, ehm, pubs. That's about it...

a thing called irony (aka taking the piss)......sadly missing in some parts of the world.

Dublin Bus actually looks kinda good compared to some parts of Europe...in some european towns the bus service stops at 7.30 pm...really annoying esp when here is no tram or metro.

the social obligation to shake hands with everyone you meet is thankfully lacking
    in Ireland....
