So you tell us all what heavy metal is then???

The point of booking a table is that when a band as important to metal as Slayer come to town dont you think its a good show of respect from us to them to lay on a bit of class with a nice table other than them coming off stage after and hour or so raising hell to stand in a f**kin bar all nite!!!!:D

I just came back from doing security at the gig and I can tell you they're in Fibbers. Mastodon is with them. Proof I was there? They didn't play Bloodline. Security (like myself) had "EVENT GUARD" or "SECURITY" written across our backs. Dark polo shirts.

Anyone wants to know how to get into tomorrow's gig for free PM me, first come, first served. You get busted, you're on you're own but it's pretty simple.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,746 ✭✭✭0utshined

Actually Son_of_Belial's right about what the security were wearing so maybe check out Fibbers.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,554 ✭✭✭herobear

will they be in fibbers tomorrow night ?? might head down then if so.....

good gig, little dissapointed with the shortness and sound of mastodon's set, but i was really overly hyped up about them.

must be a brillient party that you have to sit at a computer

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 578 ✭✭✭Son_of_Belial

No they didn't? Did they? Whatever. Um... Security also had large ear-muff like radios with a mouth-peice. I was the guy with black hair and glasses on the disabled ramp by the gent's toilet downstairs. Sure you're not getting Bloodline mixed up with Raining Blood? I know Bloodline and I'd have picked it out straight away, I never took any breaks either. No, they didn't play Bloodline.

OK, at one point the lead singer (with the long hair) started asking were you "ready for war?! War's a big deal you know" (or words to that effect). I think he said that just before the second or third tune they played. It was some time at the start anyway.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,554 ✭✭✭herobear

oh btw did anyone lose a cap ?? some guy gave me it and said the bouncers gave it to him, im not too sure if its from some guest there or from one of the bands(he was kinda ambiguos) if you lost a cap and can tell me whats on the front of it(its black with writing), i'll give it back to ye*

*i wont actually do this, im just pretty curious is all

Your a probably right about mastodon in fibs, but I can tell you that slayer did not go they went back to their hotel, tom and dave went early and kerry and jeff stayed at the venue for a while we then left and went back to the residents bar in thier hotel for beers and the craic and yes there was girlies present, more of the same tonite me thinks!!!

Ok, Slayer have been raising hell for years now right, so we hooked up one night in Dublin years ago and jeff and kerry wanted to go for beers after a serious gig, so I call the manager in fibs to get a table and that was cool, we get there and the place goes nuts i mean nuts I asked for two bouncers to help out but they got steam rolled i tell ya, so much for a table and beers the entire night was spent with people spilling beer all over the boys and shouting and roaring and being pissed and signing foreheads and all sorts of crazy ****, So kerry looks at me and says dude Its the Slayer show!!!!

So the point being is they are all on for meeting the fans and having the craic no problem but when youve just raised hell as they do on stage you just want to chill out have a beer and chat as ya do, not f**kin mayhem all night after the gig!!!

Yeah i went into Fibs for about have an hour or so.To see if they were going
to arrive, but with the amount of fans there i thought, why would slayer want to come in here?it would just be havoc.

So where did they actually end up?

I really wish i was there. But i would probably be a bit stunned if i seen them. And i don't even drink alot so i wouldn't be spillin' beer on them!

If anything the lads will go to Bruxelles in their own time for a quiet pint.

Last time they were over (before Ozzfest) it was pissing the night before the gig and they turned up in Brux and enjoyed some quiet pints and tunes off the jukebox

They were quite happy about that, cause there was only a handful of people in
