Played in a game with 8 mates.
50 Euro a head freezeout NL, top 2 get paid.
5 left, Chip Leader has about 60% of the table chips!
I'm in SB. Chip leader (winning hands all night, if he had done the Lotto he would have won it!) is BB steady player.
    3 callers and I call.
BB raises, 2 calls, and then an all-in from the dealer.
I'm in 2nd place (just about) and I'm holding 4,4.
Blinds will squeeze at least 2 of them shortly.
    What do I do?

Go all-in, the sooner the tournament is over the sooner the Omaha cash game can start!

    That's what I thought.
So I folded, BB called and 2 others folded.
    Flop comes 5,10,4,
    Turn 4
    River 8

BB wins it with 2 pair, 10's and 4's
    ****.

Got knocked out in 3rd after going all in with 8,8 (was going to be blinded out shortly anyway) and BB calls with A,T and hits an Ace on the river!
Next hand he calls an all-in by the runner up (9,9) with A,2 and board produces 3,8,Q, Turn 5, and river a 4

Who said home games aren't fixed?

just because you would of hit quads doesn't make the answer to yor question preflop any different

If you were down to about 8BBs you should have pushed preflop otherwise you played it fine. Dont get bogged down in results oriented thinking. Just what teh **** the other players were doing is a better question.

Automatic fold IMO. The last thing you want to be doing in the first place is limping into a flop with 4 4 after 3 players calling and BB still to act. Its a fold or all in pre flop scenario with the former being the better option.
Lets imagine when action was on you after 2 players were essentially fully commited after calling the BB raise and you call and see a 10 Q A flop then where are you.
44 is only half decent if everyone folds to you in the SB.
