There is such a lack of Indie/Rock clubs in this city its an absolute crime. Best advice is go to London.

I've just started one in The Long Bar in Dalymount Park, Phibsboro called Rock Jihad. We had one in may and the next one is on 9th July. The drink is cheap(about e3 for Guinness and e3.50 larger). Music policy is Rock, metal, punk and the like. We hope to make it monthly, maybe the first Saturday of the month.

If its rock your after come along on Saturday 9th July.

There'll be posters going up in the record shops in town next week.

    # Fibbers have started doing Friday night gigs (Parnell St, top of O'Connell and right (called Barrachias or something now ;)) Other than that great music most of the time.
    # UNDERGROUND @ THE VAULTS, EVERY THURSDAY (IFSC)
DUBLIN\'S UP AND COMING MUSIC TALENT: SINGERS, SONG WRITERS, INDIE AND ROCK BANDS 8.30 TILL LATE EVERY THURSDAY.....
    # Bruxelles - Harry Street (off Grafton St.)
No live music but excellent juke box and metal DJ on Fri/Sat
    # The Mezz (Eustace St, Templebar)
Bad Guinness as per most of these places but live music every night of the week. Great spot for a Tuesday night. Tends to be more jazz orientated other than the open mike nights. Full of foreign babes.
    # Fraziers/Dominion (top of O'Connel St. Downstairs Saturdays only)
No live music but gothic and occasionally industrial metal every Saturday night, free in
    # Temple Bar Music Centre (Curved St, Templebar)
Good but unfortunetly not popular indie/metal club on Fridays.
    # Eamonn Dorann's (Templebar)
Worth an honorary mention just to prove I'm not above being bribed. Occasional Battles of Bands. Ok.
    # Voodoo Lounge (Arran Quay)
With the amount of filthy little punk and death metal bands that play there well worth a visit.
    # Thomas Reids - downstairs, late bar/club. Generally good music from the Pixies to RATM, and lighter stuff too. Tends to be full of surprisingly well dressed shorthaired people and the drink's more pricey than some of the other spit on the floor joints mentioned.

    Hope this helps,
