    Hi,

I was told there is a 30 euro freezeout in the Fitzwilliam on a Sunday at 4.30. Does anyone visit this? Want to dip my toe in the water, and have a few questions.

    1) Number of players approx on an average Sunday
    2) An idea of duration
    3) is it definatly a freezeout tournament
    4) General standard fo player
    5) Need to register or not?
    6) Any special house rules.

If anyone could tlel me this and any more information about it then I would appreciate it.

P.S: IS there anyway of finding out about these tournaments. Poker.ie does not seem too up to date.

I can see myself partaking in this in the not too distant future if it's enjoyable to play.

this is a great game. everyone should play it.

The stack size with a slow easy blind structure makes for so much play. There are not many live tourneys which such a low buy in that have such good structures.

it has been getting rave reviews; two main reasons seem to be the quality of play and the sunday afternoon setting

You don't have to pay any money at all to register? So non members can just walk in off the street?

And also, is there any sort of dress code there? Will i be fine in jeans and runners? I'm generally a very presentable guy!

I'm sure you'd have to pay €3reg fee ....the casino has to make a few quid

Jeans and runners is sound......no white socks

The €3 reg is part of the €30 (I think), so it's really a €27+€3 tourney, which means that the reg is actually 11.11% rather than an apparent 10%. Devious! ;)

Amaru, you have to sign up as a member of the club on your first visit but that's free.

    bring id to sign up

The reg is 27plus3 rather than the 30plus5 the club would normally charge, bring id to become a member of the Fitz, this Sunday we'll be drinking in Maguires from 2 30 before the tourney, all welcome

I played it last week and I enjoyed it immensly. (The fact I made a slight profit on the day probably helped.) The sessions were of the right length and the blinds went up gently.

No it's not, but I know what you mean. The words 'lottery' or 'gamblefest' would be better suited. :)
