    Bloody nice , howdya get the lens effect to mingle so well with the Cruiser , very nice and photo-realistic Nebula effect anyways

    Its not a lense effect....instead of mapping an explosion I mapped a nebula

    What do you mean by mapping a nebulae ? some crazy plugin or is it a max4 feature *on 3.1* Id love to know anyway got an amazing depth in that pic. I only mentioned the Lens because it looks remarkably like a strippd down lens effect technique a mate taught me , Ala Dark Sentinel here .but Its impossible to get the quality of that neb

    Simple I use a variation of this http://www.scifi-art.com/home/tutorials/nebula/nebula.htm


    Then remove the starfield and render the nebula on its own, save the resulting picture for use as a texture.

    Then start your pic and place the texture on a transparent plane close to the camera...

    no plugins requried... smile.gif
