I can see some simularities in the moves in some of these kata's to those movements in some of teh ITF tuls.

Is it possible that some of the moves were "cut and pasted" if ya like and adapted into the learnings of ITF Tae Kwon-do?

My friend! Heian Shodan is Chon Ji and Dan Gun!

Heian Nidan is Won Hyo and a few other bits.

You know! Even when Choi first developed the Chang Hon forms the hand ready positions where all from Karate. Over time they were also changed just to be different from Japanese Karate.

Making the movements further removed from the original kata movements.

    Cheers

Hopefully before Oct. we will have some kata applications up photo's, text etc. one or two from each kata, just to get the punters thinking :)

Also our fundemental shotokan syllabus etc. and some other stuff we do.

    D.
