I'm working in a good company at the moment for a few weeks in summer and they pay pretty well. The problem is a relation's business has offered me a week's work replacing someone who's going on holiday. I really love the work in the second place (far superior to where I am now) and though I'm not contractually-obliged I feel bad leaving the first company in the lurch. I have to say Yay or Nay tomorrow. Help!!!

Would it be worth seeing first what the second company would pay for the week to see if it would be good for me financially?

Just tell your current job you have a replacement for your job and I'll happily take it. :)

I don't know! Hence the problem! After next week there's only 6 days left in the first company anyway, so I don't know if I'm bothered going back.

Do you have any holidays you can take?

I agreed to make up the days I'd be missing in the first company and they didn't have a single problem with my temporary absense. Glad that's over!
