scheduled to go on 17th July for 5 weeks but thinking of bringing my flight forward. just can't wait to get away, even though it's gonna cost €150 to change the flight.

ide say bring your flight forward, and 5 weeks wouldnt be enough for thailand alone!!

i would do laos for 10days(do vang vieng & luang prabang speed boat down mekong, vientienne sucks), cambodia 5 days (angkor), thailand for rest if i was stuck for time(chiang mai trek, bkk - ko san rd, ko phangnan full moon party, ko tao diving)

yeah, full moon party and chang mai are the only concrete things in my plans so far.

fmp is on 3 days after i arrive. have flight booked from b/kok to samui to ensure i arrive on time.

samui for a few days and then over to krabi or phi phi. not too sure.

but i've heard good things about laos. gettin more and more convinced...

Cambodia's about as dodgy as any other city in this world of ours, if you have any kinda sense at all you'll be fine, i was there for 3 weeks before Xmas and i had a ball - very interesting and cool place (like all of SEAsia) - if anywhere there is dodgy -its VIetnam but agin i also had a ball there, just don't go around with your wallet hanging out

5 weeks is a bit too short for 4 countries - personally i like to relax for a few weeks wherever i go - the travelling can be hard going if travelling to these overland - long journeys, hot and tiring. Flying around would be a different story. f i were you i would do Thailand(9 days 3/4 Bangkok 5/6 up North aroung Changmai, into Laos for about a week or so, Cambodia for just 7 - 10 days, back into Thailand for two weeks and hit the South etc and Bangkok again at the end for a coupla days - Vietnam might be a bit too much, but if up to it go for it - you really need a month in each country to explore them right.

Ya heard good things about Laos - ya heard right!

    Have a good one
