We mentioned before the possibility of meeting up for drinks and to put faces to names (and vice versa) - does Sunday work for anyone? Pre or post-€30 freezeout in the Fitz? O'Donoghue's on Merrion Row or the Waterloo on Baggot St?

When is the 30 Freezeout? I don't think it's on the Fitz web site.

Its new. Been 4 games now with the numbers getting bigger. 16 last Sunday. 4k starting chips and 20 min blind levels so its a good solid game.

except when people call me :/ maniac's the lot of you

noticed a trend that my bad beat stories seem to end with "and he called"

OK how about drinks pre and post 30 FO drinks at half two three o clock on Sunday, how about Maguires with the best smoking area Ive ever seen, just around the corner from the Fitz on baggot street

sounds like an excellent idea. Pre FO drinks, then Post freezeout drinks leading into pre-freeroll/20-in drinks.

    You know it mocks sense.

From 2:30 onwards in Maguires smoking area?

4k chips sounds generous? What do the blinds start off at? Is the freeroll still on at six then?

Well i intend to make my novice chase debut in the €30 F.O. I just hope the track suits and that i can settle early in mid div. Thats presuming the British and Irish Lions dont do me a mischief tomorrow morning. Post F.O drinks sounds a bit farfetched though as the early bust outs (incl me almost certainly) might not feel too social at their untimely exits

Never stopped us before! Its far from unknown for a final table to make a split and end up reforming with the others in Flannerys!

I've never taken the cards personally, I very very rarely do anything but go for the jugular during a game, friends, drinking buddies or no. I wouldnt expect any different in return and it wouldnt stop me drinking with someone just cos they knocked me out....

2:30 onwards then on Sunday? Maguires?

i've not been known for refusing to go for pints. I shall be there. Plan on actually restoring my track record in this toruney. So far I have come 3rd and gone out first to a big round of applause (i felt so special) :P

Ah yeah i totally agree, that wasnt meant to be a serious comment. I play for pure enjoyment. Shur i have so far never even typed an angry word online as a reposte to a bad beat...now how many others can say that!.
The whole playing in a casino thing will blow my mind. Even if i get K.O'd early i know even now that i will feel proud. That said if im not in the pub afterwards its because im not much of a drinker....again how many others can say that :D

Playing live for the first time is a difficult-to-equal buzz. I've been an adrenaline junkie since I can remember and there are few times I've felt such a rush. Off the top of my head I think the first time I was in a half pipe and the first time rockclimbing in the wild would be in the same league.

Its why, despite my infamously poor play, I still love to play Omaha for money. It feels like the first time I played Hold'em!
